Level design was moving along at a snail’s pace today when suddenly, a lightning bolt hit with a flash of inspiration for the perfect “halfway” level:
In case the gravity of EARL’s situation is not quite clear from a still photo, that water is rising! Creating such a scenario exposed a couple of weaknesses in the game engine, but it is working really slick now. That’s six levels down now. Only seven more (and a cutscene) to go.
Getting all of this working cut into my blog posting time, though, so I’m going to have to leave it at that for now. More next week!
