Example Project

The example project, Duke's Big Calculator (BigCalc), is available at https://www.smilingcatentertainment.com/download/BigCalc-1.0.0.1-Project.zip

BigCalc Map

This first-person test map showcases many applied concepts relating to DBN.

BigCalc Screenshot

By hovering the mouse cursor over the numeric "register" displays and typing, numbers can be entered. Then, an operation button can be clicked, performing the desired calculation on the input number.

In addition to performing calculations, the number formatter can be dynamically changed using the buttons along the left side.

BigIntegerAtlas

The example project contains an atlas blueprint that show the blueprint node possibilities for the library.

In some cases, not all autoconverting variants are shown (for instance, for equality comarison nodes).

Bonus Content

BigCalc also includes a few bonus content assets that you are free to modify and use for your projects:

VideoPanel Blueprint

Used to render a Widget onto a textured surface at a given size and pixel resolution

Jumbotronic Material

Renders the texture provided to it as though it were on a large scoreboard-style display with significant gaps between pixels.

Permadamp Material

A hack of the stock M_Concrete_Poured starter material made to look like a permanently wet floor, as is trope in Hollywood action media.

RetrowaveSun Material

Simple shader hack applied to a cylinder to simulate a Retrowave Sun in the sky.

DukesBigNumbers Material

Nothing special, just an emissive material for the logo decals in the scene

DBNLogo Texture

Feel free to use this in a splash screen, as a title screen icon, or in your credits to highlight your use of DBN in your project.
